‘Over the past 20 years Moon Guitars have built numerous custom mandolins. In doing this, we realised the need for a mandolin with a slightly wider neck to suit guitar players. The concept for the electro/acoustic collection came about through making solid body instruments with electric magnetic pick ups. The shortcoming of these mandolins was over-sustaining when playing certain notes. The new mandolins were designed to correct this note decay. With the help of Fishman, we designed a pickup to suit. The result is a mandolin that has both acoustic and electric power and achieves a truly accurate tone.’
