The mandolin family now occupies a prominent position in the performance of Traditional, Roots and World music, and particular the traditional music of Britain.
This is a fairly recent development and from the instruments developed by Lloyd Loar and the Gibson Company in the 1920’s and 30’s, a range of instruments and various hybrids have found a use in the performance of traditional, country, rock and acoustic music.
The Moon range of mandolin family instruments comprises of a selection of quality handmade instruments well suited to the performance of many types of acoustic music.
